Ingredients:
- 1.5 kg pork ribs, cut into 2-inch pieces
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp dried chili flakes
- 1 tsp dried ginger
- 1 tsp star anise
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp cloves
- 1 tsp coriander leaves

- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
Instructions:
- In a large pot, bring water to a boil. Add the pork ribs and cook for 1 hour, or until tender.
- Remove the pork ribs from the pot and shred them with two forks.
- Add the shredded pork ribs, onion, garlic, salt, black pepper, chili flakes, ginger, star anise, cinnamon, cloves, coriander leaves, cumin seeds, and coriander leaves to a large pot.
- Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer for 1 hour, or until the vegetables are tender.
- Serve hot with rice or noodles.
Tips:
- For a richer soup, use a combination of different cuts of pork, such as ribs, brisket, and pork tenderloin.
- You can also add other vegetables to the soup, such as carrots, celery, or bell peppers.
- If you don't have dried chili flakes, you can make your own by combining 1 tsp of black pepper, 1 tsp of dried ginger, and 1 tsp of star anise.
- Serve with a side of crusty bread to soak up the flavorful broth.
